- How long will it take to process my application?
Please see the 'Guide to processing times' link on this website for further information
- Why do I need to provide documents in support of an application?
UK immigration law requires the applicant to satisfy the visa officer that they qualify for entry under the Immigration Rules. UK Border Agency staff at the British Embassy aim to resolve the majority of applications without an interview. If an applicant has not included documents recommended on the UK Border Agency 'document checklists', the VFS official will point this out.
- What supporting documents are needed?
Please see the 'document checklists' link on this website for further information.
- How will I know when my visa is ready for collection?
You can check by using the 'track your application' system on our website. Please do not telephone about your visa application until more than 15 working days have passed since you submitted it.
