The UK Border Agency in Jakarta strongly recommends
that applications are lodged at least 15 - 30 working
days before travel. This is to allow time for any
enquiries that UKBA may wish to make, and in times of
high seasonal demand (typically May to October).
UKBA aim to process 98% of applications assessed as
Straightforward1 in 10 working days.
1 Can be decided on basis of application
and supporting documents, no enquiries needed.
UKBA aim to process 98% of applications assessed as Non-Straightforward2
in 30 working days.
2 Requires more time to be decided, for
example - detailed enquiries or interview needed.
